Coffee-Dipped Oreos

Looks pretty good, huh? These are so fattening yummy and easy to make.

Below are the ingredients you will need:

~ Package of Oreos (I recommend Newman-O's. No partially hydrogenated oils and no trans-fatty acids).

~ Few Cups of fresh coffee, or even better espresso

~ 1 package of Hershey's White Chocolate and 1 package of Hershey's Dark Chocolate. If you plan on making a big batch increase the amount to 2 bags each.

~ 1 Cup of diced glazed Pecans (I forgot to put them in the picture. Oops!)

Dip cookies into the warm coffee. Be quick because they will disintegrate if you hold them too long.

Next, lay them on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet. Put them in the freezer for about 20-30 minutes so they get nice and hard.

Now its time to melt the dark chocolate. There are 2 ways of doing this:

A. Use a double-boiler (I recommend this one). If you don't have one all you need is 2 pots. A big one you fill with a little water, and a smaller one to sit in the big pot. It's a nice way to cook your chocolate down slowly. Chocolate can be a bit temperamental, the slower the better.

B. Microwave the chocolate in increments of 30 seconds. That way it won't burn.

Once the dark chocolate is melted, dip all of the cookies. Place them back in the freezer for about 20 minutes when finished. Now you're going to melt the white chocolate. Dip just the top of the cookie in the white chocolate. After that, sprinkle a generous amount of the chopped glazed pecans on top

*Tip - I used my food processor to get the texture I wanted for the nuts, but a knife works just as well. *

Pop them back in the freezer for about 5 minutes until the white chocolate sets. If you want them nice and gooey, eat 'em as soon as you're finished. : )

Serve beside a delicious, hot cup of coffee. I know they're dipped in coffee, but come on...is there really such a thing as too much coffee? I don't think so, baby!

I let my 3 year old nephew official Taste Tester give them a try...

*Nervously biting my nails* "So, what do you think, Ryder?"

"MMmmmmm!! I DO like dese, La La..I DO!"

If something isn't good you know I kid will tell ya. :-)
 Coffee-dipped Oreos pass the test!
