Little Things Can be Big Things

So, this week's Make a Difference Monday is all about the little things. You know...small blessings that warm your heart and put a big smile on your face

A phone call, a text, an unexpected card in the mail (even better if it has some cash or a gift card--woo hoo!). A little love note, a compliment, time spent on you (one of the most precious gifts we can give in my opinion), etc.

These types of things may be little to you, but can wind up being very big to the person receiving them. Never think a small gesture of love isn't enough to make a difference in someone else's life. A lot of littles add up to big things in God's eyes.

This was one of my husband's breakfasts this past week...

Again, nothing big, just a small gesture of my love for him.

I made it a point to take a little extra time on his meal in ways that he would notice. I added a few new ingredients to his scrambled eggs and cut his toast into hearts. I put a slice of his favorite homemade brownies on the side along with a little strawberry.

My finishing touch was a special card telling him how much he meant to us : )
I know he was very appreciative and it blessed me to bless him

So, in honor of this weeks 'Make a Difference Monday' I would like to bless one of you with a small gesture of love!
Now don't get too excited--I said it was small, LOL

The giveaway will be a...

$15 gift card to Starbucks
Yummy!!

Have a latte, coffee, or frapp on me : )

Happy Follower :-) You are such a sweet wife! What a good reminder. With 3 kiddos and almost 12 years of marriage sometimes I know I forget to do these simple little extras. Thanks for a great reminder.

Hi Laura...I blessed a friend by taking a berry shorcake trife to her son's graduation party, even though food was provided. We had a lot of help with our daughter's Open House and I knew it would help stretch what they already had. It was just a simple way of showing our family cared!

I was very blessed this week. Some people came over to say good bye and told me they loved me. When i thought no one cared.

Great post!!!! it really is the small things that make another's day!

1)Hubby was feeling under the weather this week-end, so instead of him cooking, I surprised him with a meal from his fav restaurant - at home. (I can't wait to be able to cook on my own - I miss that).
2) I'm already a follower

Your posts are always thought provoking and inspiring!!! Happy Monday HHL

Love, love, love this post! I would have to say I showed much love for Hubby after he had a horrible day at work. He holds a lot of tension in his neck and shoulders so he needed a massage, which he got. This doesn't sound like a lot, but when you have arthritis in your hands like I do, a 15 minute massage means a night of pain in your hands, but he's worth it.

Love your sweet breakfast you made for your Hubby!!! Love the toast hearts!!

Let's see, I'm already a follower, I've invited a few friends to check out your blog and I've linked to you on my FB wall. To spread a little love today I will be sending a few birthday goodies to our newly sponsored World Vision 'granddaughter.'

Thanks for reminding me how important it is to show the ones closest to me how much I love them. It is all too easy to take them for granted, along with the many other blessings that are daily right under my nose!

I am a follower and I am totally impressed by your breakfast! I won't be showing that to my hubby cuz then he will want brownies for breakfast too and then I will eat them. It is a vicious cycle.

How sweet!! Just the other day we did something similiar (by we I mean my toddler and I). We let daddy sleep in and then took him to our small town country bakery for a breakfast treat (his fave) and then we told daddy to go get something from the fridge so he would see the pony keg of Virgil's rootbeer that we bought for him (another fave). Just for being the wonderful hubby/daddy he is! :)

PS: Heads up, I am hosting my very first giveaway on my blog tomorrow! :)

I had a restaurant coupon for a free appetizer that I didn't use, and as I walked out of the restaurant, I saw a family eating an appetizer and handed them the coupon. Little things like that make me smile.

Who doesn't love Starbucks? ;) I like to do little things, like help a friend clean her kitchen after a coffee date or hold her little one while she deals with the rest of the kids. ;) Great Giveaway!

I baked brownies and cookies and took them to the vet's office that cared for the dog I was dogsitting. They were so compassionate and caring to someone who had never been to their office before.
