Step Out in Faith

As you may already know,  Just For Love is a blog dedicated to helping inspire and encourage others. I want your little flame to be fanned into its full potential for the Lord. You are SO important to Him! He has blessed you with natural gifts, talents, and abilities that no one else possesses. Think about it--there is only one YOU in the world. No one else can impact someone, or minister to them in their pain the way that you can. You are special and never let anyone tell you otherwise. God loves youYes, you! With all of your current flaws included, too : ).

Don't be fooled into thinking that all of your rough edges need to be smoothed before God can use you in this world. God isn't interested in the highly qualified, He is interested in those who make themselves AVAILABLE to Him. A loving, willing, and obedient vessel is all He needs. He is more than able to provide you with the tools/talents you may be lacking. You have no idea what you are capable of doing for the Lord unless you step out in faith.

So, what has He been speaking to you lately? What dream has He placed in your heart? If you are looking for conformation, I am here to give it to you. STEP OUT. It is He who is speaking to your heart. And, if you have already stepped out keep going!

Don't be afraid, friend--you won't miss God. If you are doing something that you believe is in obedience to God's voice He won't leave you. Romans 8:28 says, "All things are working together for good to those who have love for God, and have been marked out by his purpose." Even if you wind up a little off track, it's okay! God was with you before, during, and after you stepped out...He's not going to leave you now.

Trust Him. Have faith. Faith is pleasing to the Father and absolutely vital for our personal growth in Him. Don't be afraid to let go of the old before He gives you something new. It will be SO much better than what you are tightly grasping onto right now, I can assure you!

Colossians 2:6-7 (The Message) says, "My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving."

Yes! I love that! Start living it : ).

I found this video on YouTube entitled 'The Power of One'. I liked it so much I wanted to share it with you all.

*Not plugging, I have no clue what it is, I just really liked the video.*

As long as I have life in my body, I will NOT shut up about the goodness of God and the everlasting life that is available to you, through Jesus Christ

I hope this post encourages, inspires, and most of all reminds you just how big of a difference you CAN make for the kingdom of God. Love, prayers, and blessings to you all. :-)

With LOVE,

P.S. I can't figure out why the entire background of this post is white. I find it annoying, but oh well, haha!

Laura, most definitely your spiritual gift is encouragement. And what a faithful servant you are with this gift God has given you. I love the encouragement you give. My mom even noticed your wonderful comments on my blog and called me to ask if I "really" know you. I know your mom is so proud of you and I know my dad and her are good friends right now praising Him together.

When I went for a run this afternoon, I was listening to a sermon by my pastor (okay the 2nd 1/2 of the sermon). He was talking about "accepting Christ" as our savior. But it's funny because He chose us before the world was created, we were already chosen. It's a cool thought!

This is a wonderfully inspiring post. It is making me think about the dream that He has placed in my heart and reminding me to listen to His words to me. Sometimes that is difficult to do and this post is a reminder to allow myself to hear His words. Many thanks again for this beautiful post.

Laura, what a great reminder! My "rough edges" can sometimes just paralyze me. What a loving Heavenly Father we have who takes our weaknesses and loves us despite our imperfections. What a sweet encourager you are! Love to YOU!
